Job Opportunity: Medical Oncology-Infusion Nurse

Location: Rapid City, South Dakota

Position Overview

Outpatient clinic setting specializing in Medical Oncology/Chemotherapy Infusion
Minimum nursing experience required: 1.5 years
Open to first-time travelers
Travelers must live more than 100 miles from the facility
Permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler

Patient Population

Medical Oncology patients receiving chemotherapy infusion

Required Certifications & Education

Registered Nurse (RN) license approved by South Dakota Board of Nursing
BLS certification required
Chemotherapy certification required for infusion clinic
OCN certification preferred but not required

Skills Required

Chemotherapy infusion administration
Chart checks
Rooming patients including vital signs, weight, review of systems, medication reconciliation

Unit Support & Team

Certified Assistant (CA) support available
Charge nurse on duty
Resource nurse available
Physician and ARNP present in clinic
No phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, or respiratory therapist support

Technology & Equipment

Electronic Health Record: Epic
Medication Dispensing System: Omnicell

Scheduling & Work Environment

No weekend rotation
No on-call duties
No holiday work expected
Time off requires approval

Contract Length

Additional Requirements

Compliance with flu documentation and annual core competencies
CPR (BLS) certification
Background checks, drug screening, and license verification
Immunizations and titers as required (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, TDAP)

Various employment and clinical documentation and verifications
