Travel RN Opportunity – Med/Surg Unit

Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center, 198 beds

Position Details

• Specialty: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
• Unit: Medical Unit (43 beds)
• Shift: Nights (7 PM – 7 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: At least 2 weekend shifts per month recommended
• Call Requirements: None
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit & Patient Population

• Trauma Level: II
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 and 1:6
• Patient Population: Adults (18 years and older)
• Common Diagnoses: Cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, congestive heart failure (CHF)

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience; 2 years preferred
• Education: ADN required
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) required
• Skills: Med/Surg experience preferred
• Preferred Skills: Charge nurse experience preferred but not required; oncology skills helpful but not necessary

Equipment & Technology

• Vital signs machine
• Bladder scanner
• IV pumps
• Thermal imaging
• Patient lifts
• Tube feeding pumps
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner

Additional Information

• Block scheduling may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Float requirements as per facility needs
• Must have at least a 3.2 overall rating on skills checklist
