Unit: K9A - Oncology/Women’s Surgical
Number of Beds: 24
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 HUC
- Night Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs
Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:5
Floor: 9th
Building: K
EMR System: Cerner
Type of Equipment: Standard unit equipment

Required Qualifications

Licenses: Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Certifications: BLS required
Preferred: Chemotherapy Certification (candidates with this will be considered first)

Typical Procedures

Occasional pelvic exams
Echocardiograms (Echo)
Thoracentesis

Work Environment & Culture

Team players who are willing to learn are the best fit
Dress Code:
- RNs: Navy, white, or a combination of both
- CNAs: Galaxy Blue
Basic hospital policies and guidelines apply
Floating: Rare; may float to other med-surg units occasionally
Weekend Requirement: Staff required to work 6 weekend days per schedule
Call: Rarely required
