OR Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract Position

Location: Pagosa Springs, Colorado
Specialty: Nursing (Perioperative/OR)

Job Description

• Coordinate and manage safe, effective, quality patient-family centered care for surgical patients throughout the perioperative process (pre-operative, intra-operative, post-operative phases).
• Provide support, education, and direct care to patients.
• Act as a liaison between the surgical team and patient families/support systems.
• Work closely with the entire surgical team using a multidisciplinary approach.
• May serve as:

  • Circulating Nurse
  • 1st Scrub (Instrument) Nurse
  • 2nd Scrub (Assistant) Nurse
    (Role depends on experience and training)
• Must have experience with Cerner EMR.

Education & Training

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• BSN preferred but not required.

Experience

• Required experience in:

  • Gastroenterology / Endoscopy Lab
  • Orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT surgical procedures
  • Interventional pain management

Licenses & Certifications

• Current RN licensure in good standing.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.
• CNOR certification required.

Additional Information

• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS.
