Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech Opportunity

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Certifications

• ARRT (R)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred

Job Description

• Cover both vascular and neuro Interventional Radiology procedures
• Must be proficient in neuro procedures including cerebral angiography, coiling, kyphoplasty, spine work, stroke therapy, and carotid stenting
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency, not facility)

Schedule & Call Requirements

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (with call)
• Call: 1-2 shifts per week plus every 3rd or 4th weekend, possible holiday call
• 30-minute call back time
• Scrubs provided

Core Duties

1. Monitor and interpret hemodynamic monitoring
2. Maintain sterile technique assembling supplies and preparing entry sites
3. Maintain patient and unit confidentiality
4. Continuously monitor patient ECG and blood pressure, document and advise physician promptly
5. Participate in on-call rotation and be available for emergent procedures 24/7
6. Act as code team member initiating resuscitative measures under physician supervision
7. Document procedures accurately and manage inventory and billing systems
8. Participate in educational and in-service training opportunities
9. Instruct radiography students on patient positioning, technique, equipment use, and accessory devices
10. Maintain specialization in neuroradiology and vascular IR procedures
11. Participate in inventory management and performance improvement activities
12. Prepare patients prior to procedures

Additional Notes

• Must comply with submission requirements related to previous employment and travel assignments within the WVU system
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Travel teams must be submitted together

This position is ideal for experienced IR Techs looking for a 13-week assignment with a focus on both vascular and neuro interventional radiology in a hospital setting.
