Travel RN Opportunity - ICU Unit, Anchorage, Alaska

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP

Unit Information

Unit: ICU / CCU
Number of Beds: 14
Staffing: 8 RNs per shift (1 Charge RN + 7 staff RNs) on both day and night shifts
Patient Ratios: 2:1 or 1:1
Equipment: Alaris IV pumps
EMR System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

Licenses: Alaska RN License required
Certifications:
- RN License
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Experience:
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Ability to independently manage intubated patients and titrate pressors

Preferred Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience recovering open heart surgery patients within 12 hours post-op

Typical Procedures Performed

Intubation
Arterial line insertion
Chest tube insertion
Central line insertion

Additional Information

Floating: Travelers may float to other departments if ICU is overstaffed, including MOU, CVSU, Ortho, Rehab, or SPCU
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
Schedule: Monday through Friday assignment, no weekends or on-call required
