Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Overland Park, Kansas

Position Overview

  • Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Location: Overland Park, Kansas
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

  • Unit: NICU Level 3+
  • Staffing: 4-5 Respiratory Therapists per shift (Day and Night shifts include RRT and CRT)
  • Equipment: V60, EV300, GE, Servo, Drager ventilators, AIRVO HFNC
  • EMR System: Meditech

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (higher value from description)
  • At least 1 year acute care hospital experience
  • Minimum 6 months NICU Level 3+ experience with Oscillators and Nitric Oxide
  • Experience with ventilators and pediatric patients preferred
  • Experience with NAVA ventilation, Draeger, Servo, and Hamilton ventilators is a plus
  • Skills include breathing treatments, ventilator management (invasive and non-invasive), intubation assistance, oxygen management, and ABG analysis

Certifications & Licenses

  • Kansas State Board of Healing Arts Respiratory Therapist License
  • Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC)
  • ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS certifications required

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Patient-focused, detail-oriented, team player with a positive and energetic attitude
  • Dress code: Black scrubs
  • Floating to all hospital areas as needed
  • Weekend and holiday shifts required
  • On-call shifts are voluntary
