Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Unit Size: 12 beds
- Patient Ratio: 4:1
- Scheduling: Every other weekend
- Floating Policy: Rotation with full-time staff and other travelers
Unit Environment
- Staffing: 1 tech available for the unit, plus unit secretaries
- Equipment: GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispenser
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
- Dress Code: Charcoal gray scrubs
Required Skills and Experience
- Post-cath care including TR band management
- Advanced pulmonary treatments
- Medication titration
- Positive attitude, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Procedures
- No specific procedures performed on the unit
Patient Experience Expectations
- Use of AIDET communication framework
- Completion of communication board
- Medication teaching
Hospital Information
- Trauma Level III certification
