Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity

Location: Omak, Washington

Daily Census: ~10 patients
Staffing Ratio: Typically 1:4, may be 1:5 during high admit/discharge periods

Unit Information

• Approximately 300 deliveries per year
• Two nurses per shift
• OB nurses also care for postpartum patients when no labor patients are present

Assignment Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Possible Extension: Yes
• Shift Schedule: Weekdays with some weekends
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
• Certifications Required: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted
• Scrubs: Not provided, any color acceptable
• EMR System: Cerner

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
• Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
• Background Check: 7-year criminal check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• State-specific search: Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search required within 12 months prior to start
• Education Verification (upon client request)
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years for travel nurses
• Performance and internal evaluations if previously worked with the agency

Certifications (as applicable)

• BCLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA preferred
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - ARC, AHA, or DoD accepted
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• State License Primary Source Verification
• NURSYS Verification for RNs

Health Requirements

• Physical Exam within last 12 months
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (or annual TB questionnaire if previously positive)
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug Screening: 9-panel within 1 year of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination (for flu season Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 Vaccine or Medical/Religious Exemption (booster not required)

Additional Notes

• Clear headshot photo required for badge (no hats or sunglasses, in scrubs)
• Medication and competency exams required as applicable by specialty
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgment and HIPAA compliance required
