Position Details

• Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN
• Start Date: January 12
• Shift Options:

  • 3x12-hour shifts or 4x12-hour shifts
  • Rotating shifts within the contract, but no rotation within a 4-week schedule
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Weekend Requirement:

  • 4 weekend shifts per schedule for day shift
  • 4-5 weekend shifts for night shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights count as weekends)
• On-call: Not required
• Floating: Yes, float to NICU required; may assist in Pediatric ED with limited duties (IVs, meds) but no full ED assignments
• Block Schedule Accommodation: Not guaranteed
• Locals: No locals within 75-mile radius accepted
• Pending License: Accepted with approval
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Absences greater than 7 days require approval
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week contracted; facility may call off up to 3 times during a 13-week assignment
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Experience & Certifications

• Required Experience: Minimum 1.5 years
• First-time Travelers: Accepted
• Required Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • New Mexico RN License
• Special Skills Required:

  • Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) & ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) procedures
  • Ventilator management
  • Working knowledge of inotropic drips
