Travel RN Opportunity – Medical Surgical Unit

Location: Mayfield, Kentucky
Facility Type: 107-bed, Joint Commission-accredited acute care hospital
Unit: Medical Surgical (3rd & 4th Floor)

Position Details

Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Medical Surgical
Shift: Varies
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: Possible float to like units
Number of Openings: 1

Patient Population & Care

Patient Population: Geriatric, adult, pediatric (peds patients optional)
Number of Beds on Unit: 65
Patient Ratios: Up to 1:8 with PCA assistance
Common Diagnoses/Treatments: COPD, post-op joint care, diabetic population
EHR System: Meditech

Requirements

Experience: 1-2 years
Certifications: BLS (required prior to start; additional certifications may be required)
Licenses: Registered Nurse License (RN)
Personality Fit: Kind, caring, compassionate
Dress Code: Any scrub color allowed; hoodies and scrubs with words other than facility name are not permitted

Additional Information

Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a travel nurse
Facility is the sole acute care provider in the region, serving multiple counties
Contract Length: 13 weeks
