Travel RN Opportunity - Critical Care Unit (CCU)
Location: Hendersonville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Unit Overview
- Unit: Critical Care Unit (CCU)
- Number of Beds: 20
- Patient Ratios: 2:1 for CCU patients
- Staffing: Unit secretary available on days and nights; occasional tech support
- Equipment: GE monitors (recently upgraded), Alaris pumps, Puritan Bennett ventilators
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling: 36 hours per week, including 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
- Floating Policy: Contract labor floats before core staff
- Unit Recognition:
- CT&I (Clinical Transformation & Innovation) alpha hub focusing on technology to reduce EHR time and increase patient care
- Highest level of care unit in Sumner County
- Flexible scheduling options
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 1 year critical care experience
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Certification
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License
- Technical Skills:
- Meditech documentation experience
- Ability to manage arterial lines, venous/arterial sheaths, cardiovascular and vasopressor drips, and ventilated patients
- Procedures Performed on Unit:
- Bedside central line placement
- Massive transfusion protocol
Dress Code
- Black scrubs required

- 13 weeks
