Description

Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Opportunity

Location: Rapid City, South Dakota
Facility: Hospital with 2 Cath labs and 2 Hybrid peripheral/OR suites

Job Details

Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Two 12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Weekend Rotation: Every 4th weekend
On Call: 1-2 days per week (4:30 PM - 6:00 AM) and every 4th weekend from Friday evening to Monday morning
Holiday Expectation: Possibly 1 holiday per assignment
Orientation: 4 days of 10-hour shifts
Scheduling Time Off: Must be approved by Manager

Experience & Requirements

Minimum 2 years experience required with coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral cases
First-time travelers accepted only if very experienced in coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral cases
Must live at least 100 miles from the facility
Permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler

Limb salvage
Peripheral stenosis
Thrombosis disease
Impella and LVAD insertions

Patient Ratios

RN to patient ratio: 1:1

Certifications & Education

Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, RT or equivalent, or RCIS
Education: AA/AAS Degree for Tech

Skills Required

Minimum 2 years experience with coronary, complex PCI, and peripheral cases
Ability to perform table movement (panning)
Arrhythmia recognition and treatment
Critical patient assessment skills
No floating to IR; IR and Cath Lab are separate departments

Unit Support

Charge Nurse available Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
No CNA, Phlebotomy, or IV/VAT team support
