Job Opportunity: RN Telemetry I (Travel)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years current acute hospital experience
• Must have BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• Experience with 1:5 patient ratios
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
• Must hold a Kentucky or compact nursing license
• Resource must reside within 100 miles of the facility
• Schedule typically 36/48 hours over a two-week pay period (may fluctuate)
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly
• Start date on job posting is the required start date

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association card, front and back if not electronic)
• ACLS (Required for all RNs except Psych and certain Med/Surg units)
• NIH Certification (Required for RN specialties except OR and Psych)
• Nursys License Verification (Within 30 days of start)
• Kentucky or Compact License (Annual updates required)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer (with follow-up dosing if needed)
• Proof of 3 Hepatitis B vaccine series or declination
• Proof of 2 Varicella vaccinations or positive titer (with follow-up dosing if needed)
• Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years (declinations accepted)
• Annual physical or physician statement within 1 year prior to start, stating clear to work without restrictions
• Influenza vaccine (required October-March; exemptions require approval)
• TB Quantiferon blood test within 1 year prior to start
• If positive TB record, proof of chest X-ray within last 5 years plus TB questionnaire
• Drug screen within 30 days of start (specific panel excludes marijuana/THC)

Professional & Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 30 days prior to start (7-year county, nationwide criminal, SSN trace, sex offender, SAM, OIG) with annual updates
• Education and employment verifications
• Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry verification (Kentucky facilities only) within 30 days prior to start, annual update required
• Two professional references required (one charge or higher, one supervisor reference within last year)
• Signed and dated specialty job description (annual update required)
• Assignment confirmation form to be submitted within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Core competencies including HIPAA, patient rights, safety, infection control, elder abuse, cultural diversity, advance directives (annual update required)
• Unit-specific skills checklist, competency exam, and telemetry/EKG exam within one year prior to start (annual updates required)
• Employee health attestation form confirming compliance with health requirements

Additional Notes

• Ratios and schedules may fluctuate based on census and call-ins
• Candidates should not be submitted to more than one job at a time
• All documentation must be current and uploaded as required for onboarding and compliance
