Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
Start Date: 12/8/2025
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and implements patient care tailored to the age group served on the assigned units. The RN ensures quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards, demonstrating professionalism and respect toward staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Licenses & Certifications
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) from AHA required
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) from AHA required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses) required
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or equivalent preferred
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in the specialty
Skills & Competencies
- Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served
- Sensitivity to patients’ rights in care delivery
- Clear and concise communication appropriate to patient developmental age
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
- Clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment
- Varied working hours with flexibility for emergencies and schedule changes
- Ability to handle emergency/crisis situations
- Prolonged standing and walking; heavy physical effort for patient/equipment positioning and transfer
- Physical abilities include reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and good visual and hearing acuity
- Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination required
Supervision
- Reports to Patient Care Director or Manager
