Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Sarasota, Florida
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Bed Capacity: 2 labs
• Staffing:

  • 10 total staff
  • Day Shift: Each lab staffed with 1-2 RNs and 1-2 techs (total 3 per case)
  • Night Shift: On-call only, 3-person team
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 during shifts, on-call team of 3
• Equipment: GE
• EMR System: Meditech

Required Skills and Experience

• Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • Cath Lab Tech Certification
• Must Have Skills:

  • Cath lab experience
  • Experience with Impella, IABP, and ventilators
• Preferred Skills:

  • Vascular/peripheral intervention experience
  • EP (Electrophysiology) experience

Typical Procedures Performed

• Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
• Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
• Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
• Shockwave therapy
• Pacemaker (PPM) procedures
• Use of Impella and IABP devices

Work Schedule and Environment

• Scheduled according to facility policy
• Expected to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis with hospital employees
• Independent work style with a positive, hardworking attitude preferred

• Scrub colors vary by role (not required for application but part of unit culture)
