    Travel RN - PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

    Location: Denver, Colorado
    Employment Type: Travel
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Unit Information

    • Unit: PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)
    • Number of Beds: 20
    • Staffing:
      • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 9 bedside RNs, 1 PCT
      • Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 9 bedside RNs
    • Patient Ratios: 1:2 or 1:1
    • Equipment: Philips monitors, Alaris and Medfusion IV pumps
    • EMR System: Meditech

    Required Skills

    • Care of respiratory failure (including ETT, HFOV)
    • Central line maintenance and care

    Preferred Skills

    • Post-op cardiac experience
    • Venous puncture

    Typical Procedures

    • Conscious sedations
    • CT placement

    • Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in the specialty (Pediatric ICU)
