Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Travel Position

Location: Inverness, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Work in a busy, dynamic Cath Lab performing advanced cardiac procedures including structural heart interventions.
• Unit includes 2 cath lab rooms, 10 pre/post procedure beds, and 6 holding beds.
• Staffed by approximately 20 team members including RNs and CVTs.
• Day shifts are 10 hours with call; night shifts also available.
• Patient ratios:

  • Cath lab: 1:1
  • Holding: 2:1
  • Pre/Post: 4:1

Procedures Performed

• Heart catheterizations and interventions
• Peripheral catheterizations and interventions
• TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
• Mitra Clip
• Watchman device placement
• Pacemaker and ICD implants
• Electrophysiology (EP) studies and ablations
• PFO & ASD closures
• Carotid stents

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Tech (highest required experience)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Cath Lab Tech Certification
• Previous Cath Lab experience is mandatory
• Must be able to take call

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Structural Heart procedures
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience

Work Environment & Equipment

• GE imaging equipment, Volcano, Rotoblator, Angiojet, IABP, Impella, Penumbra, Inari
• EMR systems: Cerner and Merge hemodynamic system
• Schedule includes working every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff
