Travel RN Opportunity - Mother/Baby Unit

Location: Kingwood, Texas
Employment Type: Travel


Unit Information

  • Unit: Mother/Baby
  • Number of Beds: 27
  • Number of Staff: 50
  • Shift Staffing:
    • Day Shift: 1 CNC, 5-7 RNs, 1 PCT
    • Night Shift: 1 CNC, 5-7 RNs, 1 PCT
  • Patient Ratios: 6-8 patients per nurse
  • EMR Systems: CPN, Meditech
  • Floating Area: APU for moms only

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Mother/Baby nursing
  • Must have Mother/Baby experience (candidates without this will not be considered)
  • Preferred: Gynecology experience
  • Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Certifications & Licenses

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Typical Procedures on Unit

  • Circumcisions

Work Schedule & Policies

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) per month
  • Breaks: 30 minutes lunch (must clock out)
  • Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs, no hoodies
