Travel RN - Med/Surg

Location: Denton, Texas
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Information

Unit: Medical Unit 610
Number of Beds: 46
Staff: Approximately 70 total
Day Shift Staff: 1 charge nurse, 1 unit secretary, 9-10 RNs, 4 CNAs
Night Shift Staff: 1 charge nurse, 9-10 RNs, 4 CNAs
Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 (days), 1:6 (nights)
EMR System: Meditech
Floating Areas: Surgical unit, ER (to provide med/surg hold nurse capabilities)
Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg
Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in med/surg nursing in an acute care setting
Certifications: BLS
Licenses: Registered Nurse License

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Meditech EMR system

Work Schedule & Policies

Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
Rotating weekends required
Self-scheduling allowed within reason to maintain balanced schedule
Teamwork-oriented environment; willingness to ask questions and assist as needed
