Registered Nurse (RN) - Temp Assignment

Location: Keene, New Hampshire
Facility: Medical Center (Med Surg Float Need)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Med Surg float position between Thompson, Farnum, and Kingsbury units.
• Floating during shifts is required (e.g., 4 hours Kingsbury, 8 hours Farnum in one shift).
• ICU RNs will be considered.
• Coordinate total nursing care for adult-geriatric patients.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Provide leadership and collaborate with ancillary nursing and patient team personnel.
• Must be able to work stepdown unit when needed, including experience with cardiac drips and other stepdown practices.
• EMR system used: Epic.
• Dress code: Traveler provides professional scrubs (no logos).
• Traveler must have their own vehicle.
• Must be willing to work holiday coverage, required to work two of the following holiday periods:

  • Thanksgiving and the Friday/weekend after
  • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and the Friday/weekend after
  • New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day and the Friday/weekend after
• No block scheduling or schedule accommodations will be considered.
• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years Med Surg experience.
• BSN required.
• EPIC experience required.
• Current New Hampshire RN license must be in-hand and uploaded with profile at submission (Compact license allowed but NH license required).
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications required.
• Permanent address must be included in profile.
• All medical/occupational health compliance items must be ordered, collected, and resulted within 5 days of offer acceptance, with proofs uploaded.
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included at time of submission; no scheduling requests will be approved after offer. No more than 5 days RTO allowed (less preferred).

Additional Notes

• Extensions ending in November or before December holidays will not be considered for extension into 2026.
• Non-billable orientation: 0 hours.
• Overtime and holiday pay multiplier: 1.25x.

This assignment is ideal for RNs with Med Surg and stepdown experience who are flexible with floating and holiday coverage, and who hold a current NH RN license.
