Description
Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)
Location: Saint Joseph, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 07:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Schedule: No call, no weekends, no holidays
Job Requirements
- Certification: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (required)
- Preferred Experience: Cardiovascular nuclear medicine experience (helpful but not required)
Required Credentials & Documentation
Identification & Background Checks
- Valid Driver's License or State ID
- Comprehensive background check within 30 days of start, including:
- National Criminal Check
- State and County Searches (10 years, all addresses and aliases)
- SSN Trace with aliases
- National Sex Offender Registry
- FACIS Level 3
- EPLS/GSA/SAM verification
- HHS/OIG verification
- Education verification (official transcript or diploma with graduation date)
- Missouri EDL Search within 30 days of start
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA (RQI acceptable) or ARC (must state "Basic Life Support")
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA only (RQI acceptable) – required for certain clinical roles (verify if applicable)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): AHA only (RQI acceptable)
- Tech Certification Verification: National certification required; primary source verification within 30 days of start
- State License Verification: Primary source verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS Verification: Required for RN, LPN/LVN, AP
- IV Certification: Required for LPNs, must be valid in Missouri or accepted by Missouri
- NIH Stroke Certification: Required annually for Acute Hospital RN/LPN/LVN in specified units (verify if applicable)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute): Preferred for first contract; required if extending contract, especially for Emergency Department and Mental Health staff
Competency Exams
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (as applicable)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam for Acute Hospital RNs and LPN/LVNs (score 84%+ to pass; limited attempts)
- Pass/Fail testing including Basic Dysrhythmia exam for RNs and LPN/LVNs
Facility-Specific Documents
- Confidentiality Agreement (must review and sign)
- Code of Conduct and Acknowledgement (must review and sign)
- Arrhythmia Study Guide (for test preparation)
- Demographic Form (must complete prior to start)
- Agency Nurse Orientation Quiz (must score 84%+ prior to start)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually)
- Fit mask testing completed onsite at orientation
- Negative TB test (PPD, Q-Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year, updated annually; if positive, chest x-ray within 6 months and annual TB questionnaire required
- Immunizations or documented immunity/declination for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (vaccination series, titer, or declination)
- Varicella
- Drug screening within 30 days of start covering multiple substances
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season or approved medical/religious exemption (mask required if exempt)
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references within 3 years of start
- Skills checklist completion
- Verification of most recent work history
