Cath Lab RN - Fargo, North Dakota
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Experience and Licenses
- Minimum 2 years experience in Cath Lab nursing
- Preferably critical care experience in ICU or ED
- Active North Dakota or Compact RN License (willing to obtain)
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- ACLS (AHA) certification required
Job Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in the cath lab, including:
- Cardiac catheterization with intervention
- Device implants
- Peripheral vascular procedures
- Stroke care
- Structural heart procedures
- STEMI and Stroke patients
- Administer conscious sedation
- Use ACLS/BLS protocols
- Complete nursing assessments
Equipment and Systems Used
- One Chart (EPIC)
- CUPID
- GE MAC LAB
- EKOS
- Balloon pumps
- IMPELLA
- Angiovac
- FFR
- IVUS
Work Schedule
- 4/10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call every 2-3 weekends and one night per week
- Potential on-call hours as part of a 4-person call team plus MD
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1:1 during cases
Unit Information
- 7 cath labs
- No floating to other units/departments
Additional Notes
- Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Scrub color provided: Ceil Blue
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for travel assignments
- Candidates must disclose if they have previously worked for the facility, with a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying
