Travel RN Opportunity - PACU / Preop

Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico
Facility Type: 47-bed acute care hospital

Position Details

Specialty: PACU / Preop Registered Nurse (RN)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days with some call on nights and weekends
Weekly Hours: Approximately 40 hours
Call Requirements: Once notified of a case, must be onsite within 30 minutes
Number of Openings: 1

Unit Information

Floor: 3rd
Number of Beds: 3
Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
Patient Population: Primarily adult; ENT cases once a month
Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Appendectomy, Gallbladder procedures
EHR Systems: CQI, Medhost

Requirements

Licensure: Registered Nurse License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
Experience: Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required (higher years of experience defaulted)
Preferred Experience: Both Preop and PACU experience preferred
Float Requirements: Shared position with Preop only; no other float expectations
Dress Code: No open-toed shoes or fake fingernails

Additional Notes

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Call coverage includes some weekend hours
Must be able to respond quickly to cases when called in

This role is ideal for an experienced PACU RN looking for a travel assignment in a supportive acute care environment with a focus on adult surgical patients.
