Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Travel Position
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Job Details

- Shift: Days, 7-10 hours, weekday and rotating weekends
- Call Requirements: Yes
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum 2+ years of hospital experience in cardiac cath lab or related specialty
- Scrub assist skills during cardiac and electrophysiology (EP) diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Ability to operate MacLab system for recording, measuring, and documenting cardiac procedures
- Able to operate cardiac stimulator (Bloom) and use MacLab recorder
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Cath Lab Tech Certification required
- Active Texas RN license only (temporary licenses not accepted)
- RCIS or RCES certification required
Preferred Skills
- EP scrub experience
- Experience with cath and vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Experience with Meditech documentation system
Procedures Performed
- Cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Vascular (peripheral) diagnostic and interventional procedures
- EP scrub assist including device implantations

Work Environment & Policies
- Floating required as needed (candidates must be informed of floating policy during interview)
- Dress code: Facility provides scrubs; clean and healthy nails; neat and clean hair with no extreme styles or colors; facial hair must be neatly trimmed; body art should be covered when possible; visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
Equipment Used
- MacLab, Volcano IVUS, MacLab hemo monitoring
- Philips FD 20 and FD 10 imaging systems
- Documentation via Meditech and MacLab systems
Summary
This travel position requires a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech with at least 2 years of hospital experience, appropriate certifications (BLS, ACLS, Cath Lab Tech, RCIS/RCES), and the ability to scrub assist in cardiac and EP procedures. The role involves working rotating day shifts with weekend coverage and requires flexibility to float within the facility. Candidates must hold an active Texas RN license.
