Job Opportunity: Director of Rehabilitation Services (Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy/SLP)
Location: Juneau, Alaska
Employment Type: Contract Clinician
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Independently manages multiple rehabilitation programs and supervises professional staff.
- Develops strategic plans and allocates resources to meet program goals.
- Adapts programs to new policies, rules, guidelines, or unique circumstances.
- Oversees Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy services hospital-wide.
- Responsible for planning, coordination, staffing, administration, and efficient operation of Rehabilitation Services Department.
- Develops departmental objectives and budget, establishes policies and procedures.
- Coordinates employee training and coverage across settings.
- Participates in teaching and directing patient care.
- Promotes a Culture of Safety to prevent injuries to staff and patients.
- Collaborates with other departments and contributes to overall hospital planning and budget activities.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active Alaska license as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Therapist in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years clinical experience as a practicing PT, OT, or SLP.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or director-level experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, current auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation required if providing patient care to Home Care Services.
- BLS certification.
Additional Information
- Candidate should be prepared to manage multiple therapy disciplines within the rehabilitation services.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
