Job Summary

Perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) on patients using highly technical Siemens equipment and administer contrast materials as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare scan room and patient for examination.
• Draw up and administer IV or oral contrast as needed.
• Perform equipment warm-up and enter patient data and scan parameters.
• Screen patients for contraindications and explain MRI procedure.
• Transport and position patients appropriately for the exam.
• Monitor for allergies and inject IV contrast when indicated.
• Perform scans with attention to positioning and image quality.
• Use correct protocols, coils, restraints, and materials during scanning.
• Ensure proper orientation marking and orderly image entry.
• Prepare records for radiologist, ensuring completeness and correct image order.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of MRI technologist experience.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA.
• Experience with Siemens MRI equipment.
• Must submit all scheduling requests at time of application (no changes allowed after offer).
• Provide work history and skills checklist current within 1 year relevant to MRI specialty.
• Submit 2 supervisory reference forms from within the last 2 years.
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates not considered).
