Travel RN Opportunity - Medical ICU
Location: Fort Smith, Arkansas
Specialty: Medical ICU
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Shift: Days, 3x12 hour shifts
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: Must float to stepdown and med-surg units
- Patient Ratios: 2:1 and 3:1
- Unit Beds: 32
- EMR System: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Current Arkansas RN Licensure
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Medical ICU
- Must pass a medication and math competency test with a 90% passing grade (may retake once) before administering medications
Preferred Qualifications
- CCRN certification
Work Environment & Culture
- Fast-paced unit
- Looking for upbeat and driven nurses
- Dress code: Black scrubs, no open-toe shoes
Additional Notes
- Critical care experience is mandatory to ensure patient safety
- The unit emphasizes competency in medication administration and dosage calculations
