Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity
Location: Omak, Washington
Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital (25 beds)
Trauma Level: IV
Daily Census: ~10 patients
Unit Info:
- Approximately 300 deliveries per year
- Two nurses per shift
- OB nurses also care for postpartum patients when no labor patients are present
- Staffing ratio typically 1:4, occasionally 1:5 during high admit/discharge days
Shift Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Possible Extension: Yes
- Shift Days: Weekdays and some weekends
Experience & Certifications:
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience required
- BCLS certification required
- First-time travel nurses accepted
EMR System: Cerner
Scrubs: Not provided; any color acceptable

Identification & Employment Verification
- Proof of I9 or Attestation
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
- Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
- Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
Background Checks
- 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- State-specific Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search within 12 months prior to start
Certifications (as applicable)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - ARC, AHA, or DoD accepted
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - ARC, AHA, or DoD accepted
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - ARC, AHA, or DoD accepted
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - as required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - as required
- State License Primary Source Verification
- NURSYS verification for RNs
Competency Exams
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Core competency exams as applicable
Health Requirements
- Physical exam within last 12 months
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual updates required)
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination documentation (for flu season Oct 1 - Mar 31) or declination
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (booster not required)
Other Requirements
- Clear headshot photo for badge (no hats or sunglasses, in scrubs)
- References: 2 professional references within 2 years for travel nurses
- Performance evaluations if previously worked with the agency over 1 year
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
