Med Surg Nurse Opportunity - Fargo, North Dakota

Position Details

• Specialty: 2W - Med Surg
• Location: Fargo, ND
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)
• Unit: 10-bed med/surg department
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio:

  • Day shift: 5:1
  • Night shift: 6:1
• Floating: Home unit is 2W, but may float to any med/surg unit on any campus in Fargo as needed

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year recent med/surg experience
• Licensure: ND RN license or compact state RN license (or willing to obtain)
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) required
• Additional:

  • Experience working in a larger hospital (minimum 250 beds) with a level 2 or higher trauma center
  • Experience with Epic EMR system

Job Description

• Provide general med/surg patient care
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Practice within full scope of nursing expertise using age and population-specific standards
• Utilize equipment such as Epic EMR, AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, and Telemetry

Additional Information

• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Scrubs color: Navy Blue
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Candidates living 61 to 80 miles away may be considered at a local rate
• Must disclose if previously worked for the facility; if yes, last end date must be at least 6 months prior to submission
