Position Details

• ED Providers: 1 ED provider available 24 hours/day
• Lab Draws: Phlebotomists available
• IV Team: Available during business hours
• Respiratory Therapy: 24/7 coverage
• Pharmacy: Not 24/7; after-hours coverage by house resource nurse and nearby hospital
• Floating: Not usually required, but may float within Region II facilities if needed
• Orientation: Floor-specific orientation provided; expect 25+ hours during first 2 weeks (not guaranteed)

Contract Length

• Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum 2 full years of ER nursing experience
• Active Washington State RN license
• Certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Additional Information

• Position is primarily at one hospital but may require floating to other hospitals within Region II (Lakewood, Tacoma, Enumclaw)
• Additional pay when floated outside primary facility (not included here)
• Critical Access Hospital setting
• Must be available to start by December 22
• Orientation/education hours are not guaranteed during the first two weeks but expect 25+ hours
• Nurse aides, paramedics, security/patient sitters, tele/monitor techs are not part of the team
• No psych/seclusion rooms on unit
