Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Thousand Oaks, California
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Must have prior Cath Lab experience (minimum 2 years in specialty required)
10-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
RCIS certification is not accepted
Work in a unit with 3 Cath/EP/Hybrid/Structural Heart rooms
Staff per room: 3 (RNs and Radiologic Technologists)
Patient ratio: 3 patients per case
Equipment used: GE and Philips labs, Mac Lab/Cardiolab
EMR system: Meditech

Required Skills

Cath Lab Circulating (RN) experience
Scrub experience as a Radiologic Technologist

Preferred Skills

Experience with Mac Lab/Cardiolab systems

Typical Procedures

Left/Right heart catheterizations
Angioplasty/stent placement
IVUS, ICE, atherectomy
Atrial Fibrillation Ablations
Micra’s ICDs, Pacemakers, Lead extraction
Structural Heart procedures: TAVR, TMVR, Tricuspid, LAAC (Watchman), PFO/ASD closures

Certifications Required

Registered Nurse License (for Circulator role)
Registered Radiologic Technologist License with Fluoroscopy & ARRT certification

Additional Information

Floating area: Registered Nurses may assist in Cardiovascular Observation Unit (Pre/Post care)
Dress code: Own scrubs or blue hospital scrubs
Weekend/on-call requirements: 1 weekend per month, 1 night call per week (3:30 PM onward)
