Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Stockbridge, Georgia
Specialty: Registered Nurse

Experience & Patient Population
- Minimum Experience: 2 years (1st time travelers accepted)
- Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) mandatory
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification, and others may be required depending on specialty (refer to clinical track guidelines)
- State License verification required within 30 days prior to start (Georgia license mandatory)
- Education verification required (degree or equivalent certification)
Clinical Skills & Work Setting
- Med/Surg with focus on renal care
- Hemodialysis catheter management
- Manual Peritoneal Dialysis / PD cycler
- Experience with Sepsis, Tele Monitoring, Alcohol Withdrawal (CIWA), UTI, Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypertension emergencies
- Patient ratio: 1:6
- Unit census: 20 rooms, average daily census 18
- Unit systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
- Scrub color: Navy, white, or combinations
Scheduling & Work Conditions
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
- Weekend shifts: Every other weekend
- Floating: Yes
- Call: None
- Holidays: Required to work major holidays during assignment (expectation varies based on number of holidays in assignment period)
Orientation & Compliance
- Full compliance required to start on time
- Non-compliance results in 2-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Number of Non-Billable Orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 14 weeks = 14 hours)
Background & Health Requirements
- Background check required within 30 days of start, including criminal, sex offender, education verification, and others
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (with specific protocols if positive history)
- Annual TB questionnaire required
- Immunizations required or proof of immunity:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B series or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (strongly encouraged during flu season)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant drug screen acceptable under certain conditions)
Competency Exams
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required for RNs
- Color Blind Testing required for all candidates
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for Telemetry, Med-Surg Tele, IMCU, ER, Cardiac step-down, ICU, PCU
- General competency exam required for nursing and allied health staff
Additional Notes
- Clinical screening required to determine fit before final manager approval
- Locals accepted at same rate
- Candidate must review and sign Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start
- References: 2 clinical references required by agency (not client)
- Skills checklist and work history verification required (can be pending with proof running)
