Registered Nurse (RN) - Temp Position

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Patient ratio: 1:5
• Patient population includes:

  • CHF
  • Cardiac Angiogram (pre- and post-care)
  • Ablation
  • Pacemaker
  • TEE
  • Cardioversion
  • Stroke
  • Management of cardiac drips
• Cardiac drips requiring titration: Nitro, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nirdipine, Heparin, Lidocaine.
• EMR system: Cerner Powerchart
• Night shift block off (NBO): 16 hours
• Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year’s, Thanksgiving)
• Limit of 1 day off request between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.
• Traveler must be located more than 50 miles from the market.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of previous Stepdown experience required
• At least 1 travel contract completed
• Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Iowa state nursing license required (Compact license allowed)

Unit Information

• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5 patients
• Cardiac-focused patient population with complex cardiac care needs

Note: This is a temporary travel nursing position with specific holiday and scheduling requirements.
