Registered Nurse (RN) - Temp Position
Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide professional and clinical care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- May float within the same discipline across local campuses.
- Patient ratio: 1:5
- Patient population includes:
- CHF
- Cardiac Angiogram (pre- and post-care)
- Ablation
- Pacemaker
- TEE
- Cardioversion
- Stroke
- Management of cardiac drips
- Cardiac drips requiring titration: Nitro, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nirdipine, Heparin, Lidocaine.
- EMR system: Cerner Powerchart
- Night shift block off (NBO): 16 hours
- Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year’s, Thanksgiving)
- Limit of 1 day off request between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.
- Traveler must be located more than 50 miles from the market.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of previous Stepdown experience required
- At least 1 travel contract completed
- Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
- Iowa state nursing license required (Compact license allowed)

- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5 patients
- Cardiac-focused patient population with complex cardiac care needs
