Job Opportunity: RN Telemetry I
Location: Akron, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Unit: 4 North
- Must have ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA only, AHA RQI acceptable)
- Resume must include recent Epic experience for each job in the past 12 months
- Return to Office (RTO) documentation required at submission, max 7 days allowed
- No block schedules accepted
- Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays
- Black scrubs required
- Accredited nursing degree through ACEN or CCNE required
Required Credentials and Compliance
Certifications (Required for Submission)
- BLS (AHA only)
- ACLS (AHA only)
- RN Submission Packet Checklist (complete and signed by candidate & agency)
Licenses (Required for Onboarding)
- Valid nursing license verified through Nursys within 30 days of start
- License/Certificate verification (primary source, state-specific registry) within 30 days of start
Personal Health Requirements (Required for Onboarding)
- Fit Test (N95 mask, updated annually)
- Pre-employment physical with health statement within 1 year
- COVID-19 Vaccine (fully vaccinated required; exemptions reviewed case-by-case)
- MMR (titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B (titer or complete vaccine series; signed declinations accepted)
- Influenza Vaccine (required October-April; medical/religious exemptions require approval)
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with specific timing requirements; no declinations accepted
- Varicella (titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations accepted)
- Annual TB Questionnaire (Summa form, completed and signed)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
Professional Requirements (Required for Onboarding)
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists (completed within 1 year, updated annually) including:
- Summa Competency Exam
- Summa Skills Checklist
- Summa EKG Exam, Telemetry Exam (passing score 80%+)
- Summa Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics)
- Criminal background check (FCRA compliant, 7-year search, SSN trace, nationwide, etc.) within 90 days of start
- OIG Search within 90 days of start
- EPLS Search within 90 days of start
- Education verification (third-party)
- Social Security Card or number
Additional Notes
- Must repeat certain verifications and tests if there is a break in service of 30 days or more
- Travelers continuously on assignment with no breaks are not required to update some annual requirements
- No declinations accepted for certain immunizations and tests unless otherwise noted
- Agencies must complete work order confirmation upon offer acceptance
