Job Opportunity: Radiology Technician

Location: Round Rock, Texas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Must have ARRT (CT) certification
• Must hold a Texas Medical Board (TMB) license
• Must have current BLS certification (AHA required)
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center preferred
• Familiarity with Siemens Definition and X-Cite 128 slice CT scanners

Onboarding & Credentialing Requirements

Professional Credentials

• Current professional license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Resume/Profile submission required
• At least two professional references required prior to first assignment
• Criminal background check including SSN trace, employment verification, OIG search, and national sex offender registry (updated annually or after break in service > 90 days)
• Employment verification for the past 7 years (updated annually or after break in service > 90 days)
• Education verification relevant to clinical work (completed within 90 days of start, rerun if break in service > 90 days)
• Completion of specialty and core competency exams prior to first assignment and updated regularly (minimum 80% passing score)
• Skills checklist to be completed within one year of start and updated annually
• Confirmation of assignment documentation required upon initial assignment and extensions

Certifications & Training

• BLS (AHA) certification required for onboarding
• Completion of Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation (6 hours pre-hire training)
• Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics (updated yearly)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Fit test required (preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray within one year and annual TB questionnaire
• Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing within specified timeframes, with annual TB questionnaire updates
• Documented proof of two Varicella vaccines, serological immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted)
• Valid Tdap vaccination within last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter; retesting required after break in service > 90 days

Identification

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID (must not be expired and address must match records)

Facility & Equipment

• Level II Trauma Center environment
• Use of Siemens Definition and X-Cite 128 slice CT scanners
