Travel RN Opportunity – Wyoming

Location: Lander, Wyoming

Job Description

  • Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
  • Provide patient and family education tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
  • Circulate during C-sections and assist physicians during deliveries.
  • Follow policies for recovery and care of surgical patients.
  • Attend neonatal station in C-section suite and assess neonates post-delivery.
  • Maintain fetal monitoring certification every two years.
  • Attend STABLE certification class if offered; NRP certification required.
  • Identify and communicate necessary information to physicians and patients.
  • May be required to float to other units as a sitter or helping hand depending on census.

Requirements

  • Must have current ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications (American Heart Association).
  • Must hold a Wyoming RN license or RN compact license.
  • Minimum 2 years recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, Labor & Delivery (L&D/LDRP).
  • Experience can include care of OB/GYN patients (post-op hysterectomy), antepartum care, triage, labor and delivery, and postpartum.
  • Flexibility to float to other units as needed.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Additional Notes

  • Candidate must be NRP certified.
  • Facility may require attendance at fetal monitoring and STABLE certification classes.
  • Experience in community hospital settings is relevant.
  • Candidate may be asked about clinical and travel experience, EMR proficiency, and certifications on file during submission.
