Description

Job Opportunity: RN PCU/Telemetry

Location: Barberton, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 8 weeks


Requirements

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2+ years recent PCU/Telemetry experience
    • Epic electronic health record experience within the last year (must be on resume)
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (AHA only, AHA RQI acceptable)
    • BLS (AHA only, AHA RQI acceptable)
    • NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
  • Education:
    • Accredited nursing degree through ACEN or CCNE required
  • Scheduling:
    • Maximum 5 days of Return to Office (RTO) allowed at submission
    • No block-scheduling requests accepted

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

  • Licenses & Verification:
    • Valid nursing license verified within 30 days prior to start (Primary Source Verification)
    • Nursys verification within 30 days of start
  • Health & Immunizations:
    • Fit Test for N95 masks (3M 1870+, Medline Cone Small, 3M 1860 Reg & Small) updated annually
    • Pre-employment physical within one year, confirming ability to perform essential job functions
    • COVID-19 vaccine (fully vaccinated required; medical/religious exemptions reviewed case-by-case)
    • MMR: Titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations accepted
    • Hepatitis B: Titer or complete vaccine series; signed declinations accepted
    • Influenza vaccine required October-April; medical/religious exemptions require approval
    • 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with negative results; no declinations accepted
    • Varicella: Titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations accepted
    • Tdap within 10 years (optional)
    • Annual TB Questionnaire (Summa form) completed, signed, and dated
    • If positive PPD, negative chest X-ray within 1 year of start required
  • Drug Screening & Background Checks:
    • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
    • Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search plus SSN trace, counties, statewide, nationwide, OFAC, FACIS Level 3) within 90 days of start
    • OIG Search within 90 days of start
    • EPLS Search within 90 days of start
  • Competency & Skills Testing:
    • Unit-specific competency exam passed within one year of start, updated annually
    • Unit-specific skills checklist completed within one year of start, updated annually
    • EKG and Telemetry exams with passing score of 80% or higher within one year of start
    • Core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics within 90 days of start, updated annually
  • Other Documentation:
    • Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
    • Social Security card or number verification
    • Education verification via third-party
    • RN Submission Packet checklist completed and signed by candidate and agency
    • Work order confirmation form completed by agency upon offer acceptance

Notes

  • All certifications and verifications must be current and repeated if there is a break in service of 30 days or more.
  • Travelers continuously on assignment without breaks are not required to update annual requirements.
  • Candidates exceeding 5 days of Return to Office (RTO) at submission will be automatically rejected.
  • No block scheduling requests will be accepted.
