Travel RN Opportunity - Frankfort, Kentucky

Position Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Location: Frankfort, Kentucky

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Experience & Licensure Requirements

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU experience required
  • Licenses: Must have an active Kentucky or Compact nursing license at submission
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
    • NIH certification (must be certified annually)

Unit Information

  • Unit: 10-bed unit with patient ratios of 2:1 and 3:1
  • Staffing: Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNC), RNs, PCTs, Nurse Externs
  • Equipment: Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, ventilators, glucometer
  • Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
  • Scheduling: Every other weekend, three 12-hour shifts
  • Floating Policy: May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or Emergency Department (ED)

    • Chest tubes
    • NG tubes
    • Wound vac
    • Drains
    • Post-dialysis assessment

    • Ventilator management
  • Procedures Performed on Unit:
    • Telemetry monitoring
    • Paracentesis (physician-led)
    • BiPap
    • Therapeutic phlebotomy
