Travel RN Opportunity - Frankfort, Kentucky
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Frankfort, Kentucky
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Experience & Licensure Requirements
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU experience required
- Licenses: Must have an active Kentucky or Compact nursing license at submission
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
- NIH certification (must be certified annually)
Unit Information
- Unit: 10-bed unit with patient ratios of 2:1 and 3:1
- Staffing: Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNC), RNs, PCTs, Nurse Externs
- Equipment: Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, ventilators, glucometer
- Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
- Scheduling: Every other weekend, three 12-hour shifts
- Floating Policy: May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or Emergency Department (ED)

- Therapeutic phlebotomy

- Chest tubes
- NG tubes
- Wound vac
- Drains
- Post-dialysis assessment
- Central lines
- Blood transfusion

- Procedures Performed on Unit:
- Telemetry monitoring
- Paracentesis (physician-led)
- BiPap
- Therapeutic phlebotomy
