Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM
Start Date: January 12, 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (Clinical Nurse I-IV) coordinates and implements patient care tailored to the age group served on assigned units. Ensures quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards. Demonstrates professionalism, respect, and effective communication with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

Licenses & Certifications

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) from AHA required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) from AHA required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses) required
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or equivalent preferred
• Certifications must be maintained without grace period for renewal

Skills & Experience

• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient population served
• Sensitive to patients’ rights in care delivery
• Clear and age-appropriate communication skills

Work Environment

• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
• Clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment
• Subject to stressful professional relationships
• Flexible working hours due to schedule changes and emergencies

Physical Requirements

• Ability to handle emergency/crisis situations
• Prolonged standing and walking
• Heavy physical effort for positioning, pushing, transferring patients or equipment
• Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
• Good judgment of distance and space, peripheral vision, color identification
• Normal or correctable hearing and vision
• Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination required
