Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technician (Travel)

Location: Paintsville, Kentucky

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years acute care experience as an Ultrasound Technician
• Vascular tech certification (ART) required
• Must hold a valid Kentucky license
• On-call duties required (details to be discussed during interview)
• Must reside within 100 miles of the facility to be considered
• Schedule typically follows a 36/48 shift pattern over a two-week pay period (may fluctuate)
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly
• Start date is immediate upon job acceptance

Required Certifications & Credentials

• BLS (Basic Life Support): Front and back of certificate required if not electronic
• State License: Kentucky or compact license valid for KY ARH facilities
• Vaccinations / Health Requirements:

  • Proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer (or first dose started with second dose within 28-30 days)
  • Proof of 3 Hepatitis B vaccine series or declination accepted
  • Annual Influenza vaccine (October-March) or approved medical/religious exemption required
  • Proof of 2 Varicella vaccinations or positive titer (or first dose started with second dose within 28-30 days)
  • Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years (declinations accepted)
  • TB Quantiferon blood test within one year prior to start
  • Annual physical or health statement signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP stating clear to work without restrictions

Professional & Compliance Requirements

• Submission packet must include: cover sheet, resume, skills checklist, driver’s license, license/certification verification in one PDF
• Minimum 2+ years experience must be documented with facility and unit information
• Two professional references required: one charge or higher and one supervisor reference within the last year
• Background check (ARH 20/20 Background Package) within 30 days prior to start, including education and employment verifications
• Drug screen (ARH 20/20 Drug Screen) within 30 days prior to start, annual update required
• Verification on Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry within 30 days prior to start, annual update required
• Skills checklist, competency exam, and core competencies (HIPAA, safety, infection control, etc.) must be current within one year
• Assignment confirmation form must be uploaded within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Employee health attestation form must be completed prior to compliance deadline

Additional Notes

• Positive TB record requires proof of chest X-ray within last 5 years plus TB questionnaire
• Declinations for certain vaccines are accepted but must be documented properly
• Annual updates required for most credentials and health requirements
• Candidates should not submit to more than one job at a time
