Travel RN - Emergency Department
Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Specialty: Emergency Medicine
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility Overview
- Level III Trauma Center with 198 beds
- Services: Medical, surgical, rehabilitation, childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology, pediatrics, inpatient behavioral health, day surgery, imaging, and lab testing
- Accredited PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory services
- Located in the scenic San Juan River Valley with access to outdoor activities and nearby cities
Position Details
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Department: Emergency Department
- Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
- Weekend Requirement: Minimum two weekends per schedule
- Call: None
- Number of Openings: 1
Unit Information
- Beds: 48 with flex space
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 in Main ED, 6:1 in Fast Track
- Patient Population: ESRD, Cirrhosis, COPD, Psychiatric patients
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: ESRD, Substance Abuse Disorders, Psychological Disorders, COPD, CHF, Abdominal Pain, Chest Pain
- Equipment: Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and Istat POC, Ultrasound Guided IV
- EHR System: Cerner
Requirements
- Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC (all must be from AHA)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years, Emergency Department experience preferred
- Education: RN with ADN
- Skills/Experience Must Have: Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation
- Float Requirements: None
- Additional Notes: Team nursing and Pod System in place; social worker and unit educator assigned to department
