Description

Job Opportunity: Certified Scrub Technician (Surgical Tech)

Location: Machias, Maine
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Job Description

Responsible for safe, sterile setup and handling of all surgical instrumentation during scheduled and emergency surgical cases.
Gather all necessary instrumentation and supplies as noted on surgeon's pick sheets.
Perform duties conscientiously, including pressure assignments, clerical tasks, and other department-related responsibilities.
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
Current ORT (Operating Room Technician) certification.
Essential: Current Operating Room experience.
BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
Effective communication skills with department personnel, hospital staff, medical staff, and equipment representatives.

Certifications

BLS/BCLS required

This position is ideal for surgical techs with OR experience seeking a contract role in Maine.
