• Number of Suites/Labs: 2
• Average Cases per Day: 4 (combination of cath and interventional radiology (IR))

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Patient Types / Common Diagnoses

• STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction)
• NSTEMI (Non-ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction)
• Pacemakers
• IR patients (due to combined cath and IR lab)

Job Duties

• Circulate and monitor cases during procedures
• Pre- and post-procedure patient care and calls

Experience Requirements

• Cath lab experience is a must
• IR experience preferred or willingness to learn

Technology / EMR

• Epic
• MacLab
• Siemens equipment

Staffing & Scheduling

• RN shifts: 4 shifts per week, either 9 or 10 hours each (4x9 or 4x10)
• Call requirements:

  • Approximately 10 weeknight calls per month
  • Weekend call about every 3rd weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • Holiday call required, shared among staff (1 major summer and 1 major winter holiday)
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• No floating to other facilities
• Scrubs provided (color: blues)

Orientation

• Unit-specific orientation conducted over a couple of days during the week following facility orientation

Additional Notes

• Cardiologist is in-house during the day and on call overnight
• Hiring process includes profile review and interview with unit manager
• Must be within 60 miles radius and have a valid driver’s license submitted
• Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation even if some modules are remote
