Job Opportunity: Cardiovascular Technologist (Cath Lab Tech)
Location: Hillsboro, Oregon
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (4x10s)
- Shift hours: 07:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- No on-call requirement
- Start date options: January 5 or January 17
Job Description
The Cardiovascular Technologist works in the cardio-endovascular catheterization laboratory performing duties such as monitoring and scrubbing during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The role involves assisting physicians, radiologic technologists, cardiovascular technologists, and nurses to ensure efficient and patient-friendly laboratory operations.
Required Credentials & Experience
- Current ARRT credential
- OMBI license (must be current prior to start)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA provider only, traditional AHA certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA provider only, traditional AHA certification required
- Cardiac and Interventional Radiology (IR) experience
Certifications & Training Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS (PALS may not be required for some positions) must be AHA traditional certifications (no RQI or instructor certs accepted except where noted)
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (includes Bloodborne Pathogen, Tuberculosis, and HIPAA training)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) training may be required depending on assignment
- NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on assignment
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (annual, passing grade 85%+)
- Competency Exam (annual, passing grade 85%+)
Background & Compliance Checks
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required 30 days prior to start and updated monthly
- Education verification for highest level of education (not required for some non-clinical roles)
- International background check if residency outside the US in past 10 years
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start, confirming good health and ability to perform duties
- Fit mask testing on-site on first day; annual updates required
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declinations accepted with signed form)
- Negative TB test (Qgold/TSPOT) within 1 year; PPD not accepted; annual updates required
- TB Questionnaire annually for past positives
- Immunity or vaccination documentation required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (immune titer and/or 3 vaccines or signed declination)
- Varicella
- Drug testing: 10-panel including methamphetamines within 30 days prior to start (laboratory-based, SAMHSA certified lab)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination required (October - April); mask required if declined
- COVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptions or declinations allowed
Facility Specific Requirements
- Candidates must be fully available for compliance needs up until start date (notify recruiter of any planned unavailability)
- Photo for badge must be submitted prior to starting work
- Completion of confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement prior to start
- Respiratory questionnaire must be completed and handled per facility instructions
- Vaccine declination/waiver forms must be signed if applicable (e.g., Hepatitis B, COVID exemptions not allowed)
- Traveler Network account form must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract

- At least 2 professional employment references required (except Medical Scribes)
