Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
• Weekend Coverage: Every 3rd weekend
• Experience Required: Minimum 3 years

• Unit: Accepts first-time travelers depending on experience

• Intrauterine Pressure Catheter (IUPC) Placement and Calibration
• Recognition and Treatment of Abnormal Fetal Heart Rate Patterns
• Administration of Blood & Blood Products
• Drawing Venous Blood
• Starting and Maintaining Peripheral IVs
• Use of Infusion Pumps / Drips / IV Monitoring
• Circulating and Recovery for C-Section
• Epidural Anesthesia assistance

Start Date

• Must be available to start in December

Required Documentation and Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form
• Background Check (within 1 year, covering last 7 years of residence/work/school)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (annual)
• Education Verification (Transcript or Diploma acceptable)
• Illinois Adult Abuse Registry Search (required, can pend at start)
• State License Verification and NURSYS verification (for RN)
• Pass/Fail Testing on medication and glucose meter during orientation (two attempts allowed)
• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% score)
• Physical Exam (within 1 year)
• Fit Mask Testing (within 12 months)
• Immunizations and Titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (proof of immunity or vaccination)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (titer, vaccination, or history)
• Drug Testing: 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year
• Flu Vaccination: Not required but strongly recommended
• COVID-19 Exemptions: Medical and Religious exemptions allowed with proper documentation
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years

• Work History Verification: 7 years required (attestations allowed after 3 attempts)

This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive Labor and Delivery unit with a focus on comprehensive obstetrical care, including high-level fetal monitoring and C-section support. Ideal candidates will have strong clinical skills in OBGYN nursing and be prepared for night shifts with weekend coverage.
