Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Stockbridge, Georgia
Facility: Hospital in Georgia (Travel assignment)
Job Details

- Minimum Experience: 2 years (1st time travelers accepted)
- Patient Diagnoses:
- Appendicitis, Cholecystitis, Small Bowel Obstruction
- Pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis
- Hypertension, Hypo/Hyperglycemia
- Prostatectomy, Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy
- Ostomy creation/reversal, Exploratory Laparotomy, Bowel resections
- Equipment Used: NGT, chest tubes, feeding tubes, wound vacs
- Unit Bed Count: 34 beds, average daily census 27
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Schedule & Work Conditions
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Floating: Yes, within the facility
- Call Requirements: None
- Holiday Work:
- If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it
- If 2 major holidays fall, expected to work both
- If 3 major holidays fall, expected to work 2 of them
- Major Holidays Include:
- New Year’s Eve & Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving & Black Friday
- Christmas Eve & Day
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Other certifications may be required or preferred depending on specialty and unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP)
Compliance & Orientation
- Full compliance required to start on time
- Non-compliance results in a 2-week start delay due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours depends on contract length (e.g., 14 weeks = 14 hours)
Screening & Competencies
- Clinical screening required to determine clinical fit
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required
- Color Blind Testing required
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for certain units (Tele, ICU, ER, etc.) with up to 3 attempts allowed
- Competency exams required for nursing staff
Health & Background Requirements
- Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start
- Education Verification: Required, can be pending at start with proof it is in process
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, no pending results allowed
- TB Testing: PPD, QGold, or TSpot within 12 months; TB questionnaire required annually
- Vaccinations:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Hepatitis B series or signed declination
- Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)

- References: 2 clinical references required
- Skills Checklist: Updated within 12 months
- Work History Verification: Required, can be pending at start with proof it is in process
- Must review and sign facility-specific Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies
