Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry) - Travel/Contract

Location: Weston, West Virginia
Facility Type: 70-bed rural hospital

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry)
• Shift: Nights, 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (6:45pm - 7:15am)
• Schedule: Weekdays, every other weekend
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks) with possible extension
• Start Date: ASAP
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Unit & Patient Population

• Acute care telemetry unit with occasional pediatric/adolescent patients
• Night shift includes LPN support
• RN may float to other units including ICU and ER as needed
• Patient-to-nurse ratio approximately 1:5
• 24/7 House Supervisor support available

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Telemetry skills required
• Experience in pediatrics and charge nurse experience preferred
• Travel experience not required

Certifications Required

• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred

Additional Requirements

• Must float to ER and ICU as needed
• Blocked schedule requests must be made upfront and will be discussed during interview
• Scrubs color: Burgundy (not provided)
• EMR system: Cerner

Documentation & Compliance Requirements

• Proof of RN license verification (recently pulled)
• Minimum 2 clinical/manager references within past 2 years
• Skills checklist updated annually
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Health documents including physical exam, immunizations (TB, MMR, Hep B, Varicella), drug testing, flu and COVID vaccination or approved exemptions
• Facility-specific documents such as badge photo, drug screen consent, confidentiality agreements, parking pass, and care learning modules must be completed prior to start
• Competency exams and color blindness testing as applicable
• ReadySet surveys and orientation modules completion as required by facility

Notes

• Candidates must have all required certifications on file prior to start; no pending certifications allowed
• Care learning modules and Cerner training must be completed before orientation
• Flu vaccine or approved exemption required during flu season (Oct-April)
• COVID vaccine or declination required
