Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Requirements and Documentation
Employment Type
- Travel/Contract position at a pediatric hospital setting.
Licensure & Certifications
- State License: Preferred but not required. Specific license requirements vary by role (e.g., GA state license or multi-state compact for RNs and LPNs, GA EMT license for Paramedics, GA PT license for Physical Therapists).
- NURSYS Verification: Required for all RNs.
- Basic Life Support (BLS): AHA certification required for most travelers except Behavioral Mental Health Specialists, Medical Technologists, Nurse Case Managers, Phlebotomists, Social Workers, and Sterile Processing Technicians.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS): AHA certification required for RNs, LPNs, Clinical Nurses, International Nurses, and Respiratory Care Professionals.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): Required only for Paramedics.
- Other Certifications:
- Role-specific national certifications may be required (e.g., AART for CT techs, ARRT for Respiratory Care Professionals, CCC for Speech Language Pathologists, CRCST or CSPDT for Sterile Processing Techs, American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion for Perfusionists).
- Some roles do not require state licenses or national certifications (e.g., MA, Phleb Tech, Surgical Tech).
- Specialty Certifications:
- Hematology/Oncology RNs require APHON certification.
- Wound Care RNs require Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON).
Background Checks
- Must include SSN trace, statewide, county, nationwide, sex offender checks, and education verification for certain units.
- Background check must be within 30 days of start or within one year if continuously employed with the agency.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals.
- 7-year criminal history check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start (not required annually).
- Fit Mask (N95): Must be completed within 12 months of start with specific 3M N95 models. Onsite testing allowed but discouraged. Facial hair must be removed for fit testing.
- Vaccinations and Titers:
- Tdap vaccine required; declinations not accepted without approved exemption.
- Flu vaccine mandatory for the current season; no exemptions allowed.
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters and re-titers required if titers are negative or equivocal.
- Hepatitis B: Proof of positive titer or declination accepted.
- TB Testing: QGOLD or T-Spot within 3 months of start required; PPD not accepted. Chest X-ray required if TB positive.
- Drug Testing: 10-panel plus nicotine/cotinine test within 60 days of start; instant tests not accepted.
Competency and Skills
- Pediatric Pharmacology competency exam required for all nursing staff.
- Skills checklist must be updated annually for applicable units.
- Proof of 2 clinical references required.
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Confidentiality and Security Agreement must be signed prior to start.
- OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission annual training proof required.
- Employment application/resume must be complete and submitted.
