Job Summary

The Registered Radiologic Technologist is responsible for producing and retaining high-quality diagnostic images using imaging, computer, and other equipment. The role requires thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality standards. The technologist prepares patients for procedures, educates them, and addresses any questions or concerns. Communication and care are tailored to the patient's age and developmental stage. The position also involves understanding patient positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, infection control, and quality control. Additionally, the technologist oversees and trains students involved in patient care and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and retain diagnostic images that meet or exceed standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and image quality.
• Prepare and educate patients for procedures, addressing questions and concerns.
• Use age-appropriate communication and ensure patient safety and education.
• Apply radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Understand and apply patient positioning, imaging techniques, infection control, and quality control.
• Oversee and train students providing patient care and services.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in general radiology.
